James’s mother knelt beside Sarah, gently wrapping an arm around her shoulders. “Let’s get you some water,” she said softly, helping her rise to her feet with care. Together, they made their way to the kitchen, moving slowly, and settled at the table. “Please, Conny,” Sarah began, her voice trembling. “Tell me what’s going on. I feel like I’m losing my mind.”

“It’s a lot to take in, so I need you to stay calm,” Conny said, her voice steady. “Please, focus on what I’m about to say, okay?” She paused, her gaze steady. “I can’t keep doing this. James deserves the chance to move forward, and so do you.” Sarah nodded slowly, her expression a mix of hesitation and understanding. She took a deep breath, followed by a small sip of water, and turned her attention fully to Conny, ready to listen.
