Jake persisted in getting closer and closer to the lioness. Is he acting in this manner? A man behind me, torn between amazement and incredulity, murmured. Uncertain of what this scenario would do next, we all gasped in unison. Jake’s audacity was both inspirational and alarming, as we saw a dangerous dance play out in front of us. In the hopes that the lions would stay quiet, we were anxiously awaiting the next move.

A Touch Of Courage
As Jake knelt down and softly stroked the lioness’s paw, the air seemed electrified. Everyone was clearly on the edge of their seats. Did he really just do that? Someone questioned in awe-filled tones. With such tender motions, Jake seemed to be expressing courage and certainty. He appeared to be saying, “I’m here to help.” We saw this as encouraging since the lioness didn’t back down. His bravery caused our nerves to twitch with excitement.
