Ylenia Maria Sole Carrisi
Born to a pair of Italian actors, Ylenia Maria Sole Carrisi went on to be known as the Italian version of Vanna White. In the early ‘90s, she turned the letters on the local answer to Wheel of Fortune. She set off to backpack in Central America but went missing not far from New Orleans in 1994. A security guard said that he spotted a person who matched her description. The said woman jumped into the Mississippi River after she shouted, “I belong in the water.” She swam around until she was struck by the undertow. No one knows if that was actually her. Two decades later, her mother still believes that her child is alive. She is even working with a detective to look for the missing person.
Daniel Lind Lagerlöf
In October 2011, Daniel Lind Lagerlöf had been scouting for a new film. It was Fjällbackamorden – Strandriddaren by Camilla Läckberg. The Swedish director had been in the Tjurpannan nature reserve close to the steep cliffs just outside Tanumshede, Bohuslän. The theory goes that he fell down and got swept off his feet and into the sea. There are a lot of slippery rocks there, so he might not have been able to stand up again. No one was around to witness this, but he is believed to be dead.
