Each year, people go missing. Many of these people never resurface, but the saddest part is that others disappear without anyone realizing it. This is not the case for the rich and the famous. Even though some of them return, no one has heard from many others ever again. Our society is already obsessed with celebrities, so these missing-person cases are even more fascinating to the general public. On top of that, it feels like everyone wants to try cracking the case. It is only natural for people to speculate about the disappearances of famous people. Did they die? Did they start a new life somewhere else? Who knows. Let us just say that everyone has a lot of questions about the following stories.
Theodosia Burr Alston
Are you a Hamilton fan? If so, you might remember that duet shared by Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton. It is called “Dear Theodosia” and is a lullaby dedicated to their newborn kids. In the musical, we later see Philip die in a duel. However, a lot of people had no idea that Theodosia, the daughter of Burr, suffered a terrible fate. Hamilton spread rumors that the father and daughter were in an incestuous relationship together. She then tried to help her father with his attempts to secede and later fled the country while he was on trial for treason. When her son passed away, she got on a small boat at Georgetown. No one knew what happened to her after this. There are stories that she joined a crew of pirates, while others believe that she married a Native American. Most likely, she died at sea.
