While waiting for the test results, Officer Jack decided to see if he could locate Michael again. Given that the men had fled without realizing Jack was inside, it was possible they might return, thinking the area was now safe. He positioned himself strategically, hoping to intercept Michael, and as luck would have it, Michael did indeed plan to return to the factory, unsuspecting that the officer was nearby.

However, the moment Michael spotted Officer Jack, he quickened his pace, attempting to escape. Jack caught up with ease, as Michael was no faster than a brisk walker and Jack was already close. “Michael, please, I have to ask you a few questions,” he said calmly but firmly as he walked alongside him. Michael hesitated, caught between the instinct to flee and the undeniable fact that he could not outrun the officer. It was a tense moment, one that could finally force Michael to confront the questions he had long avoided.
