Hippalectryon
Hippalectryon was a Greek mythological creature that looked like a rooster crossed with a horse. Aristophanes described the Hippalectryon as “so comically hideous that it invited laughter from those around it, thus driving evil away for good.” The quote from The Frogs by Aristophanes was discovered.
Khepri
Khepri has its roots in Egyptian mythology. It had a beetle-like head and a human-like appearance. According to the drawings, it had a goat leg on occasion. Egyptian mythology’s supernatural creatures were interesting, to say the least. It’s doubtful that we’d find a creature like this back in the day. We could only surmise that it was an unusual combination.
