Clock’s Loud Tick

My dad silently commanded the room as he observed patiently. It seemed as though time had stopped, with every second seeming to drag on forever. My manager, obviously feeling the heat of the moment, swallowed hard.

Taking A Walk
Dad advised that they take a walk around the workplace to decompress. He said, “Let’s speak with a few employees.” My manager, who was now perspiring profusely, nodded rapidly while creating a fake smile that fell short of his eyes. We were all energized by it, which was similar to an adrenaline rush. We wanted a change of environment and new insights, thus we were leaving the claustrophobic office.
