Henry Kissinger – Age 96
Henry Kissinger left Germany and fled to the US to pursue a diplomatic and political career. He became President Nixon’s and Ford’s counselor. He earned the Nobel Peace Prize, but the public did not think he deserved it because he wasn’t successful in his negotiations with Vietnam. He didn’t think twice about returning his award when it was discovered that the people were right. Henry was also well-known for being exceptionally smart. Throughout his career, he had accrued about twenty million dollars that he was now enjoying during his retirement.
Jimmy Carter – Age 94
Jimmy Carter was born in Georgia and worked on submarines for the Navy. Carter was deeply opposed to racial segregation and was motivated to be a Civil Rights Movement leader. In 1977, he became President and implemented the creation of the education and energy departments. From his political career, he turned to promote social causes. Up until now through the Carter Center, he was still championing civil rights.
