Bärbel Schäfer and Michel Friedman – 20 years
Bärbel Schäfer married Michel Friedman 16 years ago, after having been widowed once before. His faith seems to be very important to him, and he was already chairman of the Central Council of Jews. Bärbel converted to Judaism for him, and the two finally tied the knot in a New York synagogue. As both have not only appeared as presenters, but are also politically active, they are probably a good match. Michel used to be a CDU politician and was involved in various organizations fighting anti-Semitism. Bärbel is a UNICEF ambassador, among other things.
