Dismissed Similarity
For a brief moment, Lisa studied the photo, her gaze shifting between the man in the image and me. Her brow furrowed slightly, as though she were trying to solve an elusive puzzle. Then, with a small shake of her head, she dismissed the thought, brushing it off as mere coincidence. There were too many demands on her time to linger on something that seemed so inconsequential. And just like that, the chance to connect the dots slipped away.

Intent on Tasks
Lisa set the photo aside, turning her focus back to the stack of papers before her. There was no room for idle speculation; her mind was fixed on the tasks demanding her attention. With quiet determination, she immersed herself in her work, the weight of responsibility evident in every movement. I remained still in the shadowed corner, silently watching as she concentrated, unaware of my presence. Soon enough, she would have no choice but to pay closer attention. Our plans were already beginning to take shape.
