Backup Dress
It turns out that the maid of honor already had a backup dress on hand. They planned this in advance just in case she could not fit into the original dress. The bride, however, wanted the original dress regardless of what it takes.

She did not want the maid of honor to wear the backup dress instead. The bride even made the effort to clarify that she was not ‘fat shaming’ her maid of honor even though she clearly was. Besides, why did they even get a backup dress if she did not want it no matter what?
Someone Else
If you thought this was the end of the rant, you are wrong! The bride went on to say that there was already ‘someone else’ she was considering to be her maid of honor. She also felt the need to tack on the fact that her maid of honor promised she would fit into the dress by the wedding day.

It was clear that the bride did not want to have the dress altered some more. This was too much to ask of her, apparently. Who would have thought that she would rather pick the dress than the person she originally chose to be her maid of honor?
